Your RMC for Transportation

If you’ve been following our blog for the past year, you know we’re passionate about sustainability and the steps you can take to make relocation better for the planet, as we have written extensively about it. But we realized – we haven’t talked enough about what we actually do.

What is ExpatRide? What services do we offer? And how does sustainability fit into everything we do?

This next blog series will focus on introducing ExpatRide, showing you how we work, and how we can support YOU.

Background story

ExpatRide was established in 2011, by our CEO and Founder Jesper Løvendahl, after experiencing the challenges of moving to the U.S. from Denmark. When he relocated to New York in 2005, he struggled to lease a car, get a credit card, or rent a home – all because he didn’t have a U.S. credit score. This frustration sparked the beginning of ExpatRide. Jesper wanted to make it easier for other expats to settle into their new lives, without facing the same challenges. Today, we offer tailored global transportation services for employees on international assignments. We assist with everything from airport transfers, to rental and leasing cars, to VIP services.

Yes, you could in fact call us your RMC for transportation.

We are fully focused on the needs of the Global Mobility industry, with offices covering all major time zones (Copenhagen, Prague, Manila, and Miami). Sustainability is a core part of our business: through our EcoRide program, we help clients reduce the CO₂ impact of global mobility through smarter, greener transportation choices.

Services we offer:

  • Car Rental (Long-term and short-term)
  • Airport Transfer
  • Leasing – both corporate-billed or to individual customers
  • VIP Services
  • Chauffeur Services
  • Chauffeur Orientation Tours
  • Armored Vehicle
  • Bus and Coach Transport
  • Eco-friendly transport with our EcoRide Program.

What do we mean by “Your RMC for transportation”?

Relocation Management Companies (RMCs) are the spine of global mobility – they handle everything from moving logistics to visa requirements to housing, and know exactly where to find the most suitable partner. At ExpatRide, we focus on one crucial piece of that puzzle: transportation services for assignee. But we don’t just arrange cars. We manage global transportation with the same efficiency, structure, and care that you’d expect from your RMC.

At ExpatRide we believe mobility is more than just movement, it’s about making the journey secure and tailored to every individual’s needs. We offer global coverage with local expertise. We have a strong, vetted network of 200 suppliers in 175+ countries we offer everything from long-term car leasing to short-term car rentals in over 25,000 locations worldwide. Whether it’s an executive flying into São Paulo or a family relocating to Seoul, we ensure they’re met with a reliable vehicle or professional chauffeur, ready to go.

But our services go beyond just getting from A to B.

We create a custom transportation plan to match each assignee’s need, based on assignment duration, employee tier, location, and budget. Want to offer your VIPs a meet-and-greet service? We’ll meet them right at the gate and guide them through fast-track immigration for a smooth arrival. Need to support a relocating family? We can arrange a chauffeur orientation service, where we will arrange a chauffeur to take the assignee around their new city to visit schools, view apartments, and even open a bank account. Whatever the need, we make it easy to get settled from day one.

If elevated security is needed, we provide armored vehicles with trained drivers. We can organize personal chauffeur services for up to seven days a week. For group moves or project-based work, our bus and coach solutions cover team transfers and worksite commutes. And for senior executives, our VIP support team delivers a white-glove experience from door to door.

Sustainability is always at our core. Through our EcoRide Program, we offer greener transportation options to help clients reduce CO₂ emissions while maintaining comfort and convenience.

Our services are designed to connect, build on each other to provide end-to-end support for your assignees from the moment they arrive until the day they depart. Everything is integrated with centralized direct billing and delivered through a single point of contact, making mobility management smooth and without stress. We invoice in multiple currencies, and with local banking capabilities in Australia, Belgium, Singapore, the UK, and the US; we make payment simple for global companies.
