Why EcoRide?
Cars – ExpatRide’s bread and butter – emit carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, which contribute to global warming and pollution.

Transportation is the largest source of climate pollution
Air pollution is the largest environmental cause of disease and early death in the world and is associated with more than 5 million global premature deaths every year. *
In the U.S. alone, 20,000+ people/year die prematurely as a result of motor vehicle pollution. And millions more suffer from respiratory illnesses, lost workdays, and school days.*
Currently, the transportation sector is the largest source of climate pollution in the U.S., with vehicles on our roads emitting more than 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide.
As climate change and other environmental issues take center stage and impact all areas of our lives, ExpatRide has taken the initiative to reduce our clients’ and our own carbon footprint.
We are taking a stance on the environment! We do this by actively Motivating, Assisting, and Pushing greener transportation options.
We are also driving demand for greener vehicles in our suppliers’ vehicle fleets worldwide

The EcoRide Program
We want to help our clients reduce the climate impact of their journeys. We do this via three strategic initiatives:

Vetting of our Global Supplier Network
Our global supplier network is vetted and prioritized according to their environmentally-friendly fleet of cars and steps to further lower CO2 emissions.
We verify the following:

Motivating, Assisting, and Pushing greener choices
To motivate greener choices, across all our services, we always present a green option for our partners to consider. If a hybrid car is priced the same, we push (book) the hybrid without asking the assignee.

The EcoRide Choice Program
Mandated by the client, EcoRide Choice is designed to always choose the
eco-friendlier option on behalf of the employee.
Fact: Switching a one-month car rental to a hybrid saves 11 trees
