ExpatRide’s car leasing program was designed specifically with the needs of the foreign professional in mind. No U.S. credit history needed.
ExpatRide offers a wide variety of makes and models to fit any style and budget.
1. Personal Car Shopper Service
With the “Personal Car Shopper Service”, you’ll get personalized advice from a knowledgeable and skilled contact person who perfectly knows the expat auto market in the U.S. Your Personal Car Shopper will guide you throughout the car leasing process. He will discuss, recommend, find and negotiate your best vehicle options. You will receive tailored quotes including taxes and delivery costs.

2. How to Apply
Receive a non-binding quote to get an idea of pricing, even before you receive your U.S. work visa. In many cases, you can receive a quote by only providing your employment letter up front.
The following documents are needed to finalize an agreement:
3. Obtain your U.S. Driver’s License
ExpatRide doesn’t require a local U.S. driver’s license to provide a quote. However, if you decide to proceed with an agreement, in most cases, the local driver’s license is needed for final approval and car registration.
Additionally, without a U.S. driver’s license, your insurance rate will likely be higher. Having a local driver’s license should lower insurance rates significantly.
4. Payments
When you lease a car, the down payment is the money you pay upfront. The down payment is interest free money which goes towards the price of your car and will help lower your monthly car payments. Many times, the down payment could be 10% of the value of the car, or higher if the customer prefers.
The monthly car payments will be withdrawn automatically from your U.S. bank account.

5. Secure Auto Insurance
Car insurance is required to drive or own a car in the United States, even if you are not a resident of the U.S. Unlike some other countries, auto insurance is not included in your lease agreement and is paid for separately.
Many factors influence the rate for auto insurance: the make and model of car, city, state, and zip code to name a few.
To lower your insurance rate, it may be beneficial to present a document from the auto insurance company in your home country outlining your driving history for the past 5 years.
Let us know if you’d like to be connected with our insurance partners.
6. Car Registration and Car Delivery
Car registration is part of the Personal Car Shopper Service. Again, most states will require you to have a U.S. driver’s license. In addition, you will need proof of auto insurance, and the title of the vehicle.
After the registration has been completed, it is time for car delivery. In many cases, you could pick up the car at a local dealership or it may be delivered to your home.
